They landed at Cape Adare . It was 1935 before the first woman set foot there. Her name was Catherine Mikkelson, and she was the wife of a Norwegian whaling captain. When I think of summer I think of extreme surfing, BMX riding and my favourite thing about Summer isthe BEACH!!! I like the hot sand against my feet. It reminds me of my friends,my brother and my sister swimming in the salty water and having lots of fun . I'm going to do that all this Summer. I'm going to go in my friend's pool.
Yesterday Classes 5b and 5a went to Botanical garden. First we found our parent helpers, then we went to the bus and off we went. It took quite a long time. Finally we got there and had morning tea then group 1 went on the guided walk with Suzie and group 3 went to find information about native trees. I was group 1 so I was on the tour. When we were on the walk we learnt about the native trees. First we visited the Totara tree, then we visited the Kowhai tree, the Pohutukawa tree, Silver Fern tree. Then we got these real good magnifying glass and saw the holes in the trees. We saw the tunnels in the tree it was amazing and we also saw the ants and spiders like the white tail.Then we had lunch and group 3 went on the walk. Group 1 went to find information on trees. We had to find information about the native trees and after that we got on the bus and went back to school at two forty five. I had fun today. We went to watch iron man 3 it was about a mans named toney he created a machen he placed guns in it like mine misiels and flam frowes he hat to fit these man that was abel to walk throw fire and he was mad out of fire but he was also abel to beth out fire ther was a army of them but tony dident onley make one iron man he mad 20 hehop in to1 iron man .
